Why is Janine crying? Happy tears! The surprise arrival, all the way from Boston MA ,our cousin Nancy shows up along the route with a big hug!

This was the first day (Halloween) at the first cheering station the clown (Heather) was a big hit!

Surprise again!! Adrienne & her friend Erika arrived overnight to give some extra support to Janine ,Laurie & the team!! They drove from Orlando. Little Sofia really lifted their spirits!

A special surprise visitor come to see her Nonni! Janine's grandaughter Sofia came into town to cheer on her grandmother ! Isn't she cute in her halloween outfit?

I know it's quite unusual for me to go all this time and let Laurie do all the talking but I've waited long enough! I must add my 2 cents! First, thanks to our captain Laurie for pulling together the team, the blog, the planning and helping with the fundraising. It's a big job but she does it with enthusiasm every year. Next, thanks to Heather for traveling again this year to cheer us (and the other couple of thousand people) on our journey. We'll laugh, we'll cry and we'll laugh some more but WE WILL NOT WHINE! And last, welcome to our new team members - all walking for their own reasons but I can guarantee each of you, it will be an experience you will never forget. And let me warn you, when you get to the tent where they sign you up for next year, if Laurie is close by, you'll be walking next year! We are Janine the Queen's 3 Day Team!!!!!

There is quite a lot of preparation that goes into this walk- after the fund raising comes the fun. Lots of goodies & fun stuff to be worn & seen all along the way helps to keep the mood a little lighter. Breast cancer isn't to be taken lightly just how you deal with the exhaustion

of a THREE DAY SIXTY MILE WALK! Any & all distractions are usually welcome I will try to have pictures of all of the things & people we see along the way!
