I leave tomorrow to fly to Florida -- I'm so ready! I'm walking in my ninth 3-Day event and it's amazing I'm just as excited as if it were the first.

I'm so glad that I'll finally get to meet my new team mates. And, I have some photos now to introduce them.

This is Sandy Beeson on the right, she is our "Queen Bee" she is a one-year survivor and we are ready to celebrate her victory as we walk along in her hometown of Tampa!

This phot0 of Sandy and her friend Lucinda Covington is from the St Petersbrug Race for the Cure October 4th.

Sandy sent out an update this week to her friends and supporters reminding them why she walks and I want to share one part:

Earlier this month I listened to my 12 year old daughter and her friends jokingly talking about boob jobs and how they would never do such a thing... except, my daughter says, unless I have to have a mastectomy. Then she would have reconstructive breast surgery. I hope your daughter hasn't had to consider this. Mine is altogether too aware. Her chances of being diagnosed have doubled because her mother has had it.

Rather a poignant and painful moment...

I can't wait to not ever hear this kind of converstion again.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers this weekend and check back in on the blog since our sister Heather will try to update duirng the weekend.
